Events Coordinator

We’re seeking one (1) full-time Events Coordinator to manage all facility rentals and special events for The Square PHX in Phoenix, AZ, overseeing events on site, working with event rental clients to book and coordinate rentals, and acting as project coordinator for fun and educational events managed by our team, helping us provide an engaging destination in the heart of downtown Phoenix through events and memorable experiences.

Ornamental Horticulturist

The position is a member of the horticulture team bringing creative design to the Garden through stunning and innovative outdoor seasonal plant displays that produce a wow-factor for Garden visitors. Work collaboratively with horticulture, exhibits and events to enhance living plant décor for Garden events and exhibits. Lead a volunteer team to assist in the installation, care and maintenance of displays.

Scientific Illustration Intern
Desert Botanical Garden
​
This intern position will build competency in botany, herbarium best practices and botanical illustration, with a focus on succulent species. Use of compound microscope, understanding botanical terminology, attention to detail, and proficiency in pen and ink are required. In addition, optional field work opportunities are available.

Trail Horticulturist Supervisor
Desert Botanical Garden
​
A participating member of the Trail Horticulture team responsible for the health, care and growth of plant material used in the Garden’s dynamic trails, gardens and displays with the goal of achieving the highest level of excellence in alignment with best practices in horticultural care for desert plants and visitor experience. Directly supervises a team of Gardeners to assist in the maintenance of assigned areas.

Maintenance Technician
Desert Botanical Garden
​
The major priority of the Maintenance Technician is to keep the Gardens Infrastructure, Buildings and Systems in top operational condition and appearance. The Technician is responsible for the overall care, preventative and corrective maintenance of all facilities, equipment and infrastructure (excluding plant bed areas/systems) throughout the Desert Botanical Garden.
